Show was great...Venue Stunk.
The House of Heavy just flat out rocked! Cool I thought, less old played out crap from a real long in the tooth act. Biffy was ok. They gave me what my son and I came to see and then some. The first thing we encountered as we entered the venue was the fact that Motorhead would not be there. From its cramped seating to its coffin bare walls, the fact that they (the Fighters), put on such a great sounding and energy-filled performance this night, really belies the greatness and musical professionalism of this band. After the full body feel down by the venue security, ugh, I thought more foo. They gave a top-rate heart out to the fans performance and I thought they did the best they could with the FX given the crap hole venue that is the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. It would have been so easy just to phone it in on a night and a place such as this. The cows in the audience probably wouldn't have cared either way, but the House of Heavy DID NOT phone it in.
